State security officers in Tashkent stopped for a check and detained a resident of Yunusabad District born in 1993 who had already been under observation.[1] Officers in Fergana District detained a local resident born in 1988 while he was allegedly trying to sell hashish to a sham buyer.[1] Officers in Fergana detained a man born in 1997 after he collected hashish from a cache in Fergana District and stopped him on his way home.[1]

A search in the presence of witnesses found three small containers holding 257 g of hashish oil on the Tashkent detainee.[1] A later search at his residence recovered another 2 kg 831 g of the same substance along with electronic scales.[1] The Fergana District sale case involved 982 g of hashish offered for $10,700.[1] The Fergana cache case involved 956 g of hashish taken from a hiding place in Fergana District.[1]

The Tashkent operation was carried out by the city State Security Service department with the main internal-affairs department, while the Fergana operations involved the regional security department with customs and internal-affairs officers.[1] Investigators said the Tashkent detainee worked in an online shop selling drugs.[1] Law-enforcement officials said the hashish in both Fergana cases had been smuggled from a neighbouring state, in one case left in a cache before collection.[1] Criminal cases were opened over all three episodes and investigative actions were continuing.[1]
