Officers of the State Security Service’s Tashkent department with the capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs stopped a man born in 1993 living in Yunusabad district while he was in transit, as part of an operation against online drug trafficking.[1][2] A search in front of witnesses found three small containers holding 257 grams of hashish oil on him.[1][2]
A search of his flat immediately afterwards uncovered another 2.831 kilograms of hashish oil and an electronic scale used for packing and weighing.[1][2] Investigators say he worked as a courier (“zakladchik”) and supplier for an illegal online drug store.[1][2] A criminal case was opened under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and work is under way to identify his suppliers, the store’s organizers and the money flows.[1][2]
