On Friday 20 March 2026 the Strasbourg criminal court convicted ten men aged
24 to 54 who had been involved in a large cannabis resin traffic.[1][2]
Investigations had led to ten arrests and the seizure of 164 kg of cannabis,
the Strasbourg prosecutor’s office said by communiqué as reported by actu.fr.[1] The resin from Morocco had been moulded to look like chocolate bars.[1][2]
In July 2024 police found it in a freezer chest stored in a box at a Port-du-Rhin
warehouse in Strasbourg.[2]
Four Strasbourg men born between 1999 and 2001, described as the organisers and
previously unknown to the courts, were sentenced to between four and six years
in prison on 20 March 2026, with fines totalling €130,000; all were jailed or
kept in custody.[1] More than €72,000 in criminal proceeds was confiscated and
the court ordered the permanent closure of a vaping shop on route d’Oberhausbergen.[1] DNA reports prison terms of up to six years for the ten defendants overall.[2]

- The opened reports name four lead defendants and ten convictions but do not list every co-defendant or each individual sentence beyond the four-to-six-year band for the organisers.
- DNA says the resin was in a freezer chest in a Port-du-Rhin warehouse box; actu cites the prosecutor on the same seizure but the articles opened do not spell out every storage detail.
