A 32-year-old man from Marne, detained at the SAS resettlement unit in Colmar,
was caught with cannabis resin in his cell and sentenced after a fast-track
hearing on Friday 15 May 2026.[1]
Staff found 33 g of resin during a cell search on the Tuesday before the hearing,
the court report said.[1] A roundup published the day before had reported 30 g
found on the Wednesday afternoon at the same SAS unit and said he was held in
police custody before referral for immediate trial.[2] The defendant said he
had used drugs since he was eleven.[1] He told the court he was surprised that
a drug test had come back negative although he still used cannabis regularly.[1]
The Colmar tribunal sentenced him to eight months in prison, four of them to be
served in custody.[1]
