The Military Brigade’s Força Tática arrested a 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman in flagrante in the early hours of 31 October 2026 in Santa Cruz do Sul.[1] The arrest happened at about 1:30am in the square in the Ana Nery neighbourhood, on Rua Pereira da Cunha, during an anti-trafficking action.[1] Officers saw the pair arrive by motorcycle to make a tele-entrega drug delivery to a user in the square.[1] When patrol cars approached, the couple tried to flee on the motorcycle but were caught and searched.[1]
Officers found portions of cocaine and maconha with the couple, along with money and a cellphone.[1] In further searches officers seized two more maconha bricks said to belong to the criminal group working in tele-entrega trafficking.[1] The drug buyer was also detained and the drug he had bought was seized.[1]
The pair were handcuffed, taken to the Central UPA for examinations and then to the police station.[1] The man was later taken to the Regional Prison of Santa Cruz do Sul and the woman to the Women’s State Prison in Rio Pardo.[1] Police described the woman as already having prior records for trafficking and the pair as part of a group involved in tele-entrega drug dealing.[1]
