The Carabinieri of the Poggioreale company carried out a high-impact operation
across the eastern Naples districts of Poggioreale, San Giovanni a Teduccio and
Barra, uncovering illegal power connections, drugs hidden in cellars, road
offences and administrative irregularities.[1]During searches, officers
discovered a hashish depot inside the Taverna del Ferro residential complex at
San Giovanni a Teduccio.[1]The hashish was hidden in rooms used as cellars.[1]
Officers seized 40 hashish blocks with a combined weight of about four
kilograms.[1]Officers also seized 20 doses already packaged for retail sale,
weighing another 50 grams.[1]A second local report gives the same 40 blocks
and 20 doses and describes the doses as presumably intended for dealing.[2]
The seizure came during wider checks carried out with E-Distribuzione
technicians that found ten illegal connections to the power grid.[1]The
overall operation identified 132 people, including 57 with police records, and
checked 80 vehicles.[1]Seven people were reported to the Prefecture as drug
users without the reports specifying the substance.[1]

The articles give no separate date for the checks; 4 November 2026 is the publication date and is used as the incident date.
The four-kilogram figure is reported as approximate, so the combined 4.05 kg total is approximate.
No suspect, arrest or charge linked specifically to the cellar hashish store was reported.
The seven Prefecture referrals for drug use do not specify the substance, so they are not counted as cannabis figures.
Non-cannabis enforcement in the same operation, including electricity theft, the funeral-home sanction and road sanctions, is mentioned only for context and excluded from cannabis figures.
Only two local outlets reporting the same operation could be opened; no separate Carabinieri statement was found.

At his home they seized 155 g of hashish and 85 g of marijuana with scales and a money ledger; only the 240 g home seizure is counted as cannabis.
