Lapland District Court gave two defendants suspended prison terms after police seized 161.4 grams of cannabis from two homes in Rovaniemi.[1] The 35-year-old man received 80 days, while a 29-year-old woman received 30 days.[1]

The drug offences covered the period from August 2024 to August 2025, and both defendants admitted the conduct described in their charges.[1] The court decided the two defendants’ cases in separate written judgments.[1]

Police found 16 grams of cannabis at the man’s home and 145.4 grams at the woman’s home.[1] The man said the cannabis found at the second home was also his; a laboratory report confirmed that the plant material contained THC.[1] He had bought cannabis from an unidentified person, then sold and used it.[1]

The woman had acquired cannabis and LSD, and had collected hallucinogenic mushrooms herself.[1] She sold cannabis and mushrooms and used all three substances, but the court could not determine how much she had sold.[1] The man was also convicted of a minor firearms offence because he had brought an unlicensed shotgun cartridge to the woman’s home.[1] Tilannemedia reported that his judgment was final but did not state whether the woman’s judgment was final.[1]
