National Police detained four people, two men and two women including a minor,
for alleged drug trafficking in Puertollano.[1][2] The main suspect is a
29-year-old man wanted under four court orders, two for detention and
imprisonment and two for detention and appearance.[3][2] His mother-in-law was
also detained after allegedly opening the street sales point and distributing
drugs to buyers.[3] All four were placed at judicial disposal and two were
remanded in custody.[3][2]
Operations Escondite and Lupi dismantled three drug distribution points spread
across Puertollano’s urban centre, where officers had observed a large daily
flow of buyers.[3] Officers seized more than 6.5 kilograms of marijuana along
with 895 euros in cash, precision scales, machetes, ammunition and firearms.[3] A third search in the Las Mercedes neighbourhood found 1,672.87 grams of
processed marijuana packaged for sale, with scales, machetes, 16 shotgun
cartridges and prescription medicines.[3][4] The medicines, mainly morphine and
fentanyl, had been seized after officers found they were being sold from one of
the homes.[3]
The investigation started from reports of two homes distributing drugs and later
led to a third property in Las Mercedes with another marijuana grow and medicine
trafficking.[3] Police said the main suspect grew marijuana at home and stored
cocaine there, moving substances to a nearby street only after checking no
officers were present.[3] He fled over rooftops to a neighbouring house while
police drones tracked his movements.[3][4] Officers found him hidden inside a
living-room cabinet.[3][4] Police said all four detainees had prior records
including drug trafficking, criminal organisation, violent robbery, injury, home
invasion and domestic abuse.[3][4]
The search deployment included officers from Puertollano’s judicial police brigade, the Prevention and Reaction Unit, the police air unit and the canine guides unit.[2][4]
The first two searches yielded 3,995 grams of cannabis buds and drying plants, plus a scoped long gun and a short gun described as ready to fire with ammunition.[4]

The articles give no separate date for the raids; 3 November 2026 is the publication date and is used as the incident date.
The two itemised marijuana seizures total 5,667.87 grams while police report more than 6.5 kilograms overall; the report uses the official total.
Cocaine, morphine and fentanyl were reported without separate weights and are excluded from cannabis figures.
The 895 euros is seized cash, not a fine or drug valuation, and is not recorded in figures.
The two prison entries are pretrial remand, not a court sentence, so no prison figure is recorded and no further court outcome was reported.
Left out, as its quotation was not found in La Voz de Tomelloso: The first two searches yielded 3,995 grams of buds and marijuana plants left to dry, plus a scoped long gun and a short gun ready to fire with ammunition.
The page carries two photos sharing the same generic caption about the investigation, which does not describe what each photo shows, so no new media entry is added.
The La Noción page image has only the generic alt text “Foto de la noticia” with no caption identifying what it depicts, so no media entry is added from this source.
The La Noción account notes the police release does not clearly classify the short firearm described as ready to fire.
Guardia Civil officers arrested a 38-year-old cyclist at a service area in Peraleda de la Mata after finding 935 grams of cannabis buds in two plastic bags among his belongings. An identity check showed he also had an outstanding judicial warrant for search, arrest and appearance from a court in Algeciras.
Guardia Civil officers arrested 13 people accused of selling drugs through cannabis associations in Isla Cristina and Lepe, seizing 10.6 kg of hashish and 6 kg of marijuana. The Dehesa operation dismantled four sales points, including clubs near a secondary school and a children's playground.
