Three people travelling in a Chevrolet were arrested after police found 160 packets of marijuana of the type known as creepy, weighing about 80 kilograms.[1] The stop was on a road in Puerto Boyacá, in Colombia’s Magdalena Medio, and left two men ordered held in a prison and a woman under house arrest.[1]

National Police officers of the Transit and Transport section were checking vehicles at kilometre 130+200 of the Honda–Río Ermitaño road, in the Puerto Serviez sector.[1] During the inspection they found three canvas bags holding 160 packets of marijuana in a Chevrolet.[1] The National Police said the load was about 80 kilograms of creepy marijuana and that the three people were caught in the act in Puerto Boyacá.[1] Officers also seized five mobile phones and immobilised the car used to carry the drug.[1]

The three occupants were arrested for trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics and handed to the Attorney General’s Office, the Fiscalía General de la Nación.[1] After preliminary hearings, a judge ordered the two men held in a prison and the woman held at home.[1] All three remain linked to the case while the investigation continues.[1] The National Police said it would keep checks on Magdalena Medio road corridors to stop drug shipments through the region.[1]
