The presidency said that on 21 October 2026 National Police in Ciudad Bolívar, in the south of Bogotá, seized more than 700 kilograms of marijuana that had come from Cauca in a van carried on a tow truck.[1] Officers arrested a woman and handed her to the prosecutor’s office.[1] Authorities estimated the load at more than 150 million pesos for the criminal groups.[1]

El Tiempo, citing the metropolitan police, put the weight at 705 kilograms and said the stop was on the boundary between Bosa and Ciudad Bolívar, when the criminal-investigation section inspected the truck.[2] Packages smelled and looked like marijuana.[2] Investigators said the load was headed for the Carvajal neighbourhood in Kennedy, to be split and sold, and that the seizure blocked about 70,000 doses.[2] The woman who was driving was held for trafficking, manufacture or carrying of drugs.[2]

The city government’s account, drawn from the district security secretariat, matches the tow-truck van, the Cauca origin, the Kennedy destination, the arrest and the estimates of more than 150 million pesos and 70,000 doses, and says the find followed a citizen report.[3]
