A 31-year-old delivery worker was arrested in flagrante for drug trafficking on the night of 3 November 2026 in Jardim Itatiaia, in Presidente Prudente.[1][2] Officers of the 8th BAEP, a military police unit, seized a brick of cannabis weighing 882.69 grams at the man’s home on Avenida Tancredo Neves.[1] Officers were carrying out an approach when two men approached, and identification showed one was the brother and the other the cousin of the person first approached.[1][2] The delivery worker, one of the men who arrived at the scene, appeared nervous while talking with officers.[1]

When questioned, he admitted he had bought the brick that same day for R$1,000 and intended to sell the drug.[1][2] He voluntarily accompanied the team to his apartment in Jardim Itatiaia and authorised the officers to enter.[1] In the kitchen, he himself indicated that the drug was hidden on top of the refrigerator.[1][2] He told Civil Police he planned to divide it into portions of about 25 grams to be sold for about R$75 each.[1] He said he had never worked selling drugs and had decided to start in an attempt to improve his financial situation.[1] He added that sales had not yet begun.[1]

Given the amount seized and his confession about intending to sell, the police authority ordered his arrest in flagrante for drug trafficking.[1][2] He remained in custody, and Civil Police requested access to his telematic data to support the investigation.[1][2]
