NCB Mumbai intercepted a commercial goods carrier truck in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on 4 October 2026 and seized 500 kg of ganja concealed among steel pipes.[1][2]

Three people — the driver, the Nagpur-based receiver and a close drug associate — were arrested in connection with an interstate network that regularly procured ganja from Odisha and moved it into Maharashtra districts hidden among innocuous goods, using random routes to dodge enforcement.[1] The truck had originated in Sambalpur, Odisha, and the consignment was meant for further distribution in Jalna, Maharashtra, and Indore, Madhya Pradesh.[1] Credible information led to the identification of two West Bengal-based men, and efforts to apprehend other associates continue.[1]
