Marrakech judicial police arrested two young men on Tuesday 27 October 2026 on
suspicion of possessing and trafficking drugs, in two separate operations.[1]The first was caught in flagrante delicto; a search of his home in the territory
of the Royal Gendarmerie of Tassoultante found 450 g of cocaine, six slabs of
chira (cannabis resin), a motorcycle and an electronic scale.[1]The second
was found with 546 g of cocaine, 270 g of chira, a motorcycle, an electronic
scale and cash from the trade.[1]
The Marrakech police prefecture’s judicial police ran the two operations.[2]Investigators said they were trying to establish the circumstances of both cases
and their possible extensions before bringing the men to court.[2]
No weight was given for the six slabs of chira found at the first suspect's home; the 270 g figure is only the resin recovered from the second man.
The second operation's location is not named; Tassoultante is the only precise place given, for the first suspect's home.
Neither account names the suspects, gives their ages or states the charges filed; both were in police custody.
No estimated value for the drugs and no court date or outcome were reported.
The two outlets appear to draw on the same police account rather than independent reporting.
Neither page carries a photograph confirmed to show the seizure: Aujourd'hui le Maroc's photograph is a rights-reserved file whose address dates from February 2025, and Sawt Al-Adala's lead image has no caption or credit.
Left out, as its quotation was not found in Aujourd'hui le Maroc: Both men were placed in garde à vue, police custody, under the supervision of the public prosecutor and were due before the correctional chamber of the Marrakech first-instance court.
