Police arrested two Tanzanian nationals on the Lunga Lunga-Mombasa Highway with 20 kg of high-grade bhang, disrupting a cross-border trafficking operation feeding the Mombasa market.[1]
Yunus Ali, alias Dogo Yunus, and Hemed Abdalla, alias Chotara, hid the skank β worth about Sh600,000 β inside sacks disguised as chicken feed; officers acting on intelligence intercepted the vehicle after it crossed from Tanzania.[1] Skank is a potent greenhouse-grown variant of cannabis sativa, more lucrative on the local market.[1]
Security sources said the pair had been on the radar for years, moving consignments from Tanzania through porous border points; both were detained pending trafficking charges as police pursued the wider network.[1]
