Officers of the drug unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Langsa city police seized almost 40 kg of cannabis in Kuala Langsa, a gampong (village) in West Langsa district, Aceh.[1] The raid took place at about 11:30 pm on Wednesday 21 October 2026.[1] The two men detained were AN, 27, a farmer, and MM, 20, a student.[1] Both came from Serbajadi district in East Aceh regency.[1] Langsa police chief AKBP Hyrowo said the cannabis weighed 39.898 grams, about 39.9 kg.[1] Investigators suspect the pair acted as dealers (bandar) or distributors (pengedar).[1] The case was recorded in a police report dated 21 October 2026.[1]

Police announced the operation’s results at a press conference in Langsa on 29 October 2026.[2] They said the two men would face legal proceedings under the applicable drug laws.[1]
