The South Lampung district prosecutor’s office (Kejari Lampung Selatan) destroyed 1.24 kg of ganja (cannabis) on 29 October 2026, along with 38.3 kg of methamphetamine and other drugs seized in criminal cases.[1] The destruction ran from 09.00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) in the courtyard of the Kejari Lampung Selatan office.[2] It covered evidence from a number of general criminal cases that had reached final judgment.[3]
By the office’s own count, the cannabis weighed 1,239.9115 grams; the haul also included 38,381.0903 grams of sabu (crystal methamphetamine) and 56 ecstasy pills weighing 19.6835 grams, plus 1,349 cartridges of etomidate.[1] The head of the office, Firman Ide Amin, said traffickers were increasingly packaging etomidate as vape liquid.[1] Other items destroyed included Rp1.2 million in counterfeit money, six digital scales, ten bongs, 148 pieces of clothing, ten bladed weapons, a toy gun, a homemade revolver, four rounds of ammunition, four mobile phones, 32 bags and two T-keys.[1]
Firman described the destruction as the office’s accountability for state-confiscated property.[3] He thanked police, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and investigators for their work from uncovering the cases to completing the case files.[1] South Lampung police chief AKBP Deddy Kurniawan attended and said the police presence showed support for transparent and accountable enforcement.[3] The destruction followed rulings by the Kalianda District Court, the Tanjung Karang High Court and the Supreme Court.[2]
Firman called for police, prosecutors, BNN, the military, local government and the public to coordinate more closely against trafficking.[1]
