Police in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, arrested three men accused of selling and supplying ganja, a cannabis preparation, in two separate operations.[1] The two operations yielded 1.19 kg of ganja and a motorcycle.[1] Moghat Road police carried out one of the operations near the railway bridge on Bargaon Bhila Road on the night of Friday 30 October.[1] There they detained a young man and found 110 g of ganja on him.[1] Police identified him as Ameen Khan, 19, a resident of Rameshwar Tekra in the Moghat Road station area.[1]

On Saturday, City Kotwali police arrested two men accused of bringing ganja by motorcycle behind Chirakhadan Multi.[1] One man arrived on the motorcycle and was handing the other a cloth bag that hung from it when officers surrounded them and made the arrests.[1] A search found 1 kg 80 g of ganja on them, and police seized the Bajaj Platina motorcycle as well.[1] The two were Ramesh Gohar, 41, of Sundarnagar, Chirakhadan, and Mohansingh Rawat, 30, of Sangvi village in Bhikangaon, Khargone district.[1]

Police put the estimated value of the seized ganja at about 4,800 rupees.[1] A case was registered against all three under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.[1] City Superintendent of Police Abhinav Barange said officers were gathering information about other people involved in buying, selling and supplying ganja.[1] Police were also trying to establish where the ganja came from and who was involved in supplying it.[1]
