Rotam, the Military Police’s tactical mobile patrol unit, stopped a man on Rua Juarez Clever in central Ivaiporã on Friday 30 October 2026.[1] Officers on a routine patrol saw him behaving suspiciously at about 18:26 and found 53 g of cannabis in a search of his person.[1] The man authorised them to search his home, where they found another 77 g.[2] The total came to 130 g of cannabis, and officers also seized a mobile phone.[3]

He was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and taken with the drug and the phone to the Civil Police station, where the arrest in flagrante, one made at the scene of an offence, was to be formally recorded.[1] Military Police said he had been taken to a police station three times before over drug trafficking.[2] He had also been taken to a police station once as an adolescent for an infraction equivalent to trafficking.[1] The case passed to the Civil Police.[3]
