Military Police detained two men aged 24 and 28 during the operation and later took them with the seized materials to the police in Laguna for legal procedures.[1] The operation began after a 22-year-old man disobeyed a stop order, struck a military police officer with a motorcycle and fled.[2] The 22-year-old suspect was not located.[2]
The case was recorded in the locality of Ibiraquera in the municipality of Imbituba at about 18h20 on Friday the 30th.[2] Police reported seizing 5.675 kilograms of marijuana, 145 grams of cocaine, 42.8 grams of MD and 74.6 grams of hashish, plus three precision scales and drug-packaging materials.[2] In the more detailed account, 5.235 kilograms of marijuana, 145 grams of cocaine, 40 grams of MDMA and 72 grams of hashish were inside a cardboard box abandoned on the veranda of a quitinete unit.[1] After voluntary authorization to enter, police found another 440 grams of marijuana, about 2.8 grams of MDMA and 2.6 grams of hashish in the second detained man’s residence, and he admitted owning those substances.[1]
The Tactical unit was conducting a checkpoint on Rua Hortelã do Campo in the Praia do Rosa area to curb crime when it tried to stop the motorcyclist, already suspected of local drug trafficking.[1] On receiving the stop order, the rider threw the motorcycle at an officer, hitting his right shin, then abandoned the box and fled toward woods.[1] Those involved were first taken to hospital for medical evaluation and injury documentation, especially the wounded officer, before being taken to the police.[1]
