Namur criminal court on 26 June 2025 convicted a 24-year-old from Havelange of drug dealing on recidivist facts.[1][2] Police had stopped him in Bouge on 18 January 2025 while he drove a rented Opel Corsa drunk, disqualified and uninsured, finding about €2,000 on him and €8,000 in the centre console.[1][2] A search at his Havelange home seized 2,350 g of vacuum-packed marijuana and 34 g of cannabis resin.[1][2]

He admitted the drugs but said he sold under pressure from a gang he owed for earlier drug debts; the prosecutor sought three years, noting deliveries across Wallonia, yet phone evidence did not show a structured organisation.[1][2] The court imposed two years in prison with five years’ probation on the remainder after time served, ordered €8,972 forfeited with the narcotics, and declined the defence challenge to the home search.[1][2]
