On 22 December 2025, in the Hadayek October police district of Giza governorate, the facts later charged against blogger Manar Sami, her husband and a third man took place.[1] The Public Prosecution’s referral order covers Karim Alaa, 26, a trader; his wife Manar Sami Ali Abdel Fattah, 26, described as a housewife; and Mohamed Sami, 26, a trader, all living in Hadayek October and held on the case.[1] The order accuses the three of possessing and holding hashish for trafficking, along with cocaine, a fentanyl derivative and tramadol, and separately accuses Karim Alaa of holding an unlicensed folding knife described as a deer-horn clasp knife.[1]

Investigators said officers arrested Manar Sami, her husband and another person in Hadayek October and found drugs on them and in their car.[2] The arrest record says the first suspect had five hashish slabs, ten further pieces of the same drug, cash and a mobile phone.[2] The second suspect had a bag with 20 packets of cocaine, 22 grams of ecstasy tablets and a folding knife.[2] Manar Sami’s bag held bags of ecstasy tablets weighing 327 grams, a velvet box with gold jewellery, cash and phones.[2] A leather bag on the rear seat held 45 hashish slabs, and another bag in the dashboard held cocaine powder.[2] Confronted with the seizures, the suspects admitted possessing the drugs for trafficking, said the car and phones were used to move and sell them, and said the cash and gold were proceeds of that trade.[2]

Youm7 reported that investigators referred Manar Sami, her husband and another person to trial for possessing cocaine, a phenethylamine derivative and hashish for trafficking in Hadayek October, Giza.[3] The first hearing for the blogger, her husband and their associate before the competent criminal court was set for 12 December.[2]
