On 2 November 2026 the Giza Criminal Court heard the trial of seven defendants accused of drug trafficking and unlicensed possession of firearms and ammunition in the Badrashin case No. 19525 of 2025.[1] The prosecution charges all seven with possessing cocaine, phenethylamine, hashish and tramadol for trafficking outside legally permitted circumstances.[1] A second outlet confirms the same seven defendants, the same Badrashin case numbers and the same trafficking and firearms allegations.[2] A third outlet describes the case as an alleged criminal trafficking activity with unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Badrashin, Giza.[3]

The chemical laboratory found 27 bags of dark substance containing the active ingredient of hashish, weighing 1,683.10 grams.[1] It also found 500 plastic bags of green plant parts weighing 300 grams, plus other hashish-active plant parts weighing 2 grams and 15 grams.[1] Another exhibit of 181 transparent bags of dry green plant parts containing the active ingredient of hashish weighed 120.29 grams, bringing the stated hashish total to 2,120.39 grams.[1] The reports separately list 499 tramadol tablets, crystalline powder containing a phenethylamine derivative and tablets containing cocaine, which are not counted in the cannabis weight.[1]

The prosecution also charges possession of two rifled rapid-fire automatic rifles, 90 rounds for them and 13 shotgun cartridges, allegedly with another deceased person.[1] A narcotics-control officer testified that he investigated the defendants, obtained prosecution permission to arrest and search them, and seized drugs, weapons and ammunition with a security force, an account supported by three accompanying officers.[1]
