Police Scotland community officers executed a drugs search warrant at an address
on Alford Drive in Glenrothes on Thursday.[1]A 34-year-old man was charged
and will be reported for a number of offences in connection with the raid.[1]
Officers found evidence of large-scale production of cannabis oil and cannabis
edibles at the property.[1]They recovered 7kg of cannabis during the search.[1]Officers also seized three electric off-road bikes, a stolen motorbike and
a dog suspected to be an XL Bully.[1]
Community Sergeant Martyn Reidie said detection and disruption of drug crime is
a priority for Police Scotland.[1]He said drug misuse drives violent and
antisocial behaviour and that officers are pursuing those linked to supplying
controlled drugs among young people.[1]He said it is clear some of those
individuals are using electric off-road bikes and that he was pleased more of
the bikes had been taken off the streets.[1]He appealed for anyone with
information about drug activity to contact their local community policing team
on 101 or to report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.[1]
The article says the raid happened on Thursday without giving a calendar date; 29 October 2026 is used as the incident date because the article was published on Monday 2 November 2026.
No quantity was published for the cannabis oil or edibles production evidence beyond the 7kg of cannabis recovered.
The specific offences the 34-year-old man was charged with, and any court date or outcome, were not reported.
Only one source could be opened; a second report of the same raid was found in search but could not be opened because access was refused, so it was not used.
