A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged following a police drugs recovery in
Glasgow.[1] The charge followed a search-warrant raid on an address on Ruby
Street on Sunday 1 November 2026.[1] The man is due to appear at Glasgow
Sheriff Court on Tuesday 3 November 2026.[2]
Officers found quantities of cocaine, cannabis and MDMA inside the Ruby Street
property in Dalmarnock.[3] Police put the estimated street value of the three
drugs together at around £9,200.[1] Officers also recovered a five-figure sum
of cash at the same address.[3] The Glasgow Times reports that officers turned
up with a search warrant to make the seizure on 1 November 2026.[4]
Detective Sergeant Poppy Ford said drugs cause misery in communities and the
recovery showed the force’s commitment to removing them from the streets.[1]
Ford said information from the public is vital and asked anyone with information
to report it.[1] She said people with concerns can contact Police Scotland on
101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.[1]
No separate weight or value for the cannabis portion was published, so the combined £9,200 estimate for cocaine, cannabis and MDMA together is omitted from cannabis figures.
The recovered cash was described only as a five-figure sum, so no cash amount is recorded.
The 26-year-old man was not named in the opened sources.
