The Feodosia city court in Crimea convicted a 32-year-old local resident of unlawfully cultivating narcotic-containing plants on a large scale after prosecutors said he had grown cannabis.[1]

The court found that in May 2026 the man bought cannabis seeds, sowed them and then tended the plants as they grew.[1] In that same month of July 2026, police officers discovered the plantation and seized all 90 plants.[1]

The seized plants were destroyed after their confiscation.[1] The court treated the 90-plant grow as large-scale cultivation, the scale cited by the court and prosecutors for the verdict.[1]
