On the night of 21-22 October 2026, Delhi Customs officers at the Air Cargo Complex seized 23.220 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana, acting on intelligence from an earlier bust of 148.675 kg of Bangkok ganja.[1][2] Officers intercepted a Bangkok consignment declared as lamps; X-ray imaging showed anomalies, and dismantling the wooden pallet base exposed 23 vacuum-sealed packets of compressed leaf concealed in the structure, examined in the importer’s presence.[1][2]
The load was valued at about ₹8.12 crore, with a street value near ₹23 crore, and was seized with its packing under the NDPS Act.[1][2] One more person was arrested on 22 October and produced before a magistrate that evening.[1][2] Across the investigation Delhi Customs has seized nearly 172 kg and arrested two people, after the first seizure exposed a syndicate now under coordinated follow-up at 11 locations in three states.[1]
