Between 25 and 31 March 2026 the District of Columbia’s Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration (ABCA) and Metropolitan Police Department padlocked three unlicensed cannabis retailers and arrested three people.[1][2]
Closure orders hit Treehouse DC at 1922 I Street NW on 25 March, Pressure Deliveries at 3417 23rd Street SE on 26 March, and Level Up Smoke & Tobacco Shop at 1938 9th Street NW on 31 March.[1] ABCA said each shop posed an imminent danger through illegal sales; the wave brought to 107 the number of illegal cannabis businesses padlocked since civil closure powers took effect in July 2024.[1]
At Treehouse, agents seized 14 pounds of marijuana plus THC edibles, liquids, resin and vape cartridges, and arrested Patrick Evans, 33, of Alexandria, Virginia.[1] Pressure Deliveries yielded 10.2 pounds of marijuana and assorted THC products; Rashad Davis, 33, of Waldorf, Maryland, was arrested.[1] At Level Up, police seized 3.2 pounds of marijuana, THC wax, two semi-automatic weapons and ammunition, and arrested Estepahnous Futsum, 42, of Northwest Washington.[1] WJLA, citing ABCA, put total marijuana seized across the three sites at 27.4 pounds alongside more than 11 kilogrammes of THC edibles and other concentrates.[2]
