Officers of the Curuzú Cuatiá Investigations Division (DIC) raided a house suspected of hosting a drug-selling point, acting with the intervening prosecutor’s office.[1] The procedure took place at about 18:00 on Tuesday at a home in barrio Santa Rita, on calle 2 in Curuzú Cuatiá.[1] Police said the operation dismantled an alleged drug-selling point in Curuzú Cuatiá as a continuation of work carried out over the weekend.[1] Officers detained a 37-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, who were taken to the police station.[1]

During the search, officers found 31 packets containing marijuana, 200,000 pesos in cash and four mobile phones.[1] The report put the estimated value of the seized substance at about 2,682,000 pesos.[1] The case was presented as another drug “kiosco”, the term used in the area for a small neighbourhood drug-selling point, found in Curuzú Cuatiá.[1]

Police linked the raid to other raids carried out on 30 October and 1 November within an investigation that remains under way.[1]
