Police carried out three searches in Bovril on Sunday 1 November 2026 over alleged drug selling, seizing marijuana, cash and 14 mobile phones as the first reported results.[1][2] Officers identified 13 people during the procedures carried out that Sunday.[1][2] Those identified were six women and seven men, and the first account reported no detentions and gave no procedural status for them.[1][2]

Officers also seized cannabis plants, five security cameras, a 5.5-calibre compressed-air gun and assorted cuttings whose characteristics were not detailed.[1][2] The marijuana was found in a nylon wrapper.[1][2] The initial information gave no weight for the marijuana, no number of cannabis plants and no amount for the seized cash.[1]

The operation was led by the Dangerous Drugs and Special Groups police divisions.[1][2] It formed part of proceedings for alleged breach of provincial Law 10.566 on micro-trafficking, the provincial term for small-scale drug dealing.[1] The outlet described these findings as the first results of the procedures.[1]
