A 46-year-old man serving house arrest under an electronic ankle bracelet was detained in the west of the conurbano bonaerense, the ring of municipalities around the city of Buenos Aires, accused of leading a band selling cocaine and marijuana.[1] Judicial sources told cronica.com.ar that officers of the district’s second police station arrested him as the result of seven raids.[1] In the raids police seized 38 doses of cocaine, a compact piece of the same drug, 149 wrappings of marijuana and a nylon bag of cannabis sativa.[1] Officers also took two long .22 revolvers with their serial numbers filed off, two compressed-air rifles and an unspecified sum of money.[1]

He had been granted house arrest and was monitored with the bracelet under a case for “illegal possession of a weapon of war”.[1] According to the court file, the raids began after a 35-year-old man was shot in the right leg at the corner of Villanueva and Sunchales and taken to the Hospital Zonal General de Agudos Simplemente Evita.[1] The case is provisionally classified as “possession of narcotics for sale”.[1]
