Officers from several areas of the Jefatura Departamental Concordia carried out a saturation operation at different points in the city on the afternoon of Thursday 29 October 2026.[1] The operation left several men detained and at least 45 wrappers of cocaine seized, as well as doses of marijuana.[1] The deployment produced three positive procedures with specialist personnel and the courts involved.[1] The procedures were part of a preventive operation by different units of the Entre Ríos police to reinforce police presence and detect possible narcomenudeo, or street-level drug dealing, in different parts of Concordia.[1]
At Sargento Cabral and Cortada 51, Grupo Especial Concordia officers surprised a man who tried to hide items in his clothing when he noticed the police.[1] During the pat-down, officers detected several wrappers that gave off the characteristic smell of marijuana.[1] After the formal search, the wrappers containing the substance were seized.[1]
At Las Heras and Boulevard Yuquerí, officers saw two men apparently exchanging small items.[1] A narcotics detection dog named Mali gave a positive alert.[1] With judicial authorization, a search seized 20 wrappers containing cocaine.[1] In the Villa Busti neighborhood, a man threw a bundle and tried to flee when he saw the officers.[1] He was quickly intercepted and restrained by officers.[1] Officers checked the discarded items and found 25 wrappers that tested positive for cocaine.[1] In total, the operation seized at least 45 wrappers of cocaine and an unspecified number of wrappers of marijuana.[1]
Prosecutors Martín Núñez and Luciana Musuliotis ordered the detention of the men involved, who were placed at the disposal of the courts.[1]
