A Military Police Shock Platoon team was patrolling in Loteamento Quebec, in the
14 de Novembro area of Cascavel, when officers spotted a cannabis plant inside a
plot near a residence.[1] The officers entered the lot to check the plant and
found a white pickup, partially dismantled, in the same yard.[1] No one was
arrested during the operation and those responsible for the vehicle and the
plants had not been identified.[1][2]
During the inspection of the ground, officers located three cannabis plants,
known locally as maconha.[1][3][4][2] The second account identifies the seized vehicle
as a Volkswagen Amarok found in the yard with cloned plates.[5] A records
check showed the pickup had a theft-or-robbery record in Rio Grande do Sul,
while its plates belonged to a different, black pickup.[1][2] The pickup was
stripped, missing its engine, bumpers and tailgate, with other parts also
removed.[1]
The three plants and the pickup were seized and sent to the 15th Police
Subdivision of Cascavel for the applicable legal procedures.[5][3][4][2] The occurrence
was recorded in the late afternoon of Monday, 2 November 2026.[5][3][4]
The discovery occurred at around 17h during a Shock Platoon patrol on Rua Canadá.[2] The Amarok was found without plates, with its engine removed and with differing paint between the bodywork and the engine compartment.[2] Officers found two plates inside the pickup showing signs of forgery.[2] The military police said the property showed no signs of being inhabited.[2]
