Military Police arrested a 19-year-old man for drug trafficking on the afternoon
of Tuesday 3 November 2026 in Vila Nova, a neighbourhood of Blumenau in the Vale
do Itajaí.[1]Officers were on routine patrol near a commercial establishment
when the incident was handled at about 4:42pm.[1]The suspect ran into a
convenience store when he noticed the approaching patrol car.[1]He threw his
mobile phone behind a counter in an apparent attempt to hide it.[1]
Police said the suspect already had previous records and appeared very nervous
when approached.[1]A personal search found a lump of marijuana weighing about
103 grams in his pocket.[1]Officers arrested him in flagrante and took him to
the police station with the seized drug for the legal procedures.[1]
