Police arrested a 58-year-old farmer from Central Aceh, AW, carrying four sacks of ganja in a Toyota Avanza.[1]
AW had obtained the drugs in Beutong, Nagan Raya, for delivery to North Aceh; the case broke when the Aceh Police narcotics team learned of a ganja deal in Nagan Raya on Friday 13 February, then tracked the suspect’s departure toward Bireuen the next day.[1] Officers found the car on the Banda Aceh–Medan road at Kulu village, Kuta Blang, Bireuen, in the early hours of Sunday 15 February, and discovered sacks covered with black tarpaulin.[1]
AW admitted the sacks held ganja taken from a man identified as Z in Beutong Ateuh: three large white sacks and one small one totalling about 50 kilograms, meant for a man identified as G in Geudong village, Geureudong Pase, North Aceh.[1] Police went after G but he escaped and is still sought, while AW is detained at Polda Aceh.[1]
