Officers of the Benghazi branch of Libya’s General Department for Combating
Drugs and Psychotropic Substancesarrested a woman living in Al-Laithi in
Benghazi.[1]The suspect was identified only by the initials G. H. A.[2]The
branch said she was suspected of helping her husband to bring in narcotic
substances and to store them.[3]The operation followed source information set
out in an evidence-collection report and corroborated by investigations.[1]Officers carried it out under an order to arrest and bring her in.[3]
The search found 200 large pieces of hashish, known among dealers as
passportats, with a total estimated weight of about 20 kilograms.[1]Officers
also found 800 narcotic pills of a type called Rouj alongside the hashish.[2]The cannabis quantity recorded for this event is the 20 kilograms of hashish.[3]
The branch presented the arrest as a later step in a case that had earlier
involved resistance to its members and injury to one of them.[2]It said it
completed the required legal procedures and notified the Public Prosecution to
continue investigations and take the measures prescribed by law.[1]
No separate date for the arrest was published; 14 October 2026 is the first publication date in the opened sources and is used as the incident date.
The reported hashish weight is an estimate of about 20 kilograms, not a laboratory weight.
The 800 Rouj pills are a separate non-cannabis component and are excluded from the cannabis figure under the tracker's substance scope.
The suspect was identified only by the initials G. H. A.; no full name, age or nationality was published.
No charge, court date or sentence was reported; the branch said only that it notified the Public Prosecution and investigations continue.
The husband's whereabouts and whether he was arrested were not reported.

All accounts rest on the anti-narcotics branch's statement; no independent reporting was found.
