The Criminal Investigation Department of the Ajdabiya Security Directorate
foiled a plan to transport and conceal quantities of narcotics inside the city.[1]Information received by the department said a large quantity of drugs and
hallucinogenic pills was inside a third-floor apartment in a residential
building, with an intent to move it to another unknown place to hide it.[2]After opening an investigation report and notifying the Public Prosecution,
officers obtained legal permission to raid the flat and detain the offenders.[1]The operation detained two suspects in the flat raid and referred them to
the Public Prosecution, according to the directorate’s security media unit.[2]The suspects and seized items were taken to the department to complete the
inquiry procedures, where the suspects admitted what was attributed to them
before being referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action.[1]
The search seized two kilograms of hashish.[2]The directorate’s statement
reported 59 boxes of tramadol totalling 5,529 pills at a stated 250 mg per pill,
found with 16,500 Libyan dinars inside a bag intended for carrying children.[3]The reprinted initial account instead reported 39 medicine boxes totalling
3,690 pills at 250 mg with the same hashish and cash amounts.[1]Officers said
the contraband had been hidden inside the child-carrying bag in an attempt to
conceal it from view.[2]

Tramadol accounts differ as 39 boxes with 3,690 pills versus 59 boxes with 5,529 pills; the report uses the directorate statement carried by two later outlets and notes the earlier figure.
Tramadol quantities and the seized 16,500 Libyan dinars are mentioned only for context and are excluded from cannabis figures under the substance-scope rule.
The suspects were not named and one outlet left their number unspecified; two detentions are recorded from the account using the dual form, with no charges or court outcome beyond referral to the Public Prosecution.
Left out, as its quotation was not found in بوابة الوسط: Published photographs of the hashish pieces, tramadol boxes and cash are captioned as seized during the Ajdabiya flat raid on 22 October 2026 and credited to Ajdabiya security.
