Police are looking for one person of interest in their investigation of what they say is their largest weed bust ever: a half ton of suspected cannabis packed in 29 bags with an estimated street value of $1.6 million.[1]
A joint operation by the Gang Intelligence Investigation and Interdiction Unit, the Anti-Narcotics Unit and the K-9 Unit at an apartment building in Lords Bank Village at 5:30 Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026, led to the discovery of the 29 bags of suspected high-grade cannabis weighing 1,176 pounds, along with a loaded 9mm pistol holding 12 rounds.[1][2]
No one was present at the property when officers arrived, and the residents were placed in protective custody while police sought the person of interest.[1][2]
