The New Cairo Criminal Court, sitting in the Fifth Settlement, sentenced three defendants to six years of aggravated imprisonment for holding hashish for sale in the Badr police district.[1] The court issued the verdict on Sunday 1 November 2026.[2] The referral order said the three held hashish without legal authorisation on 1 March 2026 in the same district.[1]

A Roads and Ports Security officer posted in the district saw the first defendant driving a car against traffic with the other two beside him, stopped them and searched the vehicle.[1] In a cardboard box inside the car, the officer found 125 brown pieces of hashish, a cannabis resin.[1]

The defendants admitted holding the drugs for sale, and investigators said the money seized from them came from their dealing and that they used mobile phones to contact customers.[1]
