Ankara Provincial Police Directorate’s narcotics branch, the Narkotik Suçlarla Mücadele Şube Müdürlüğü, ran operations targeting drug sellers across Ankara between 25 and 31 October 2026.[1][2][3] Officers detained 109 suspects during that week.[1][4][2][3][5] Forty of the suspects were remanded in custody.[1][4][2][3][5]

Searches seized 791 grams of cannabis reported as esrar, alongside 85,929 synthetic pills, 2 kilograms 965 grams of A.M. substance, 532 grams of cocaine, 221 grams of bonzai and 57 grams of methamphetamine.[1][4][2][3][5] Officers separately destroyed 49 cannabis plants reported as Hint keneviri roots.[1][4][3] The esrar and Hint keneviri form the separately listed cannabis component of the mixed haul, while the other drug weights are not counted as cannabis.[1]

Teams also seized four precision scales, one blank-firing pistol, three blank-pistol cartridges, 24 shotgun cartridges and 159,475 lira in cash described as linked to the offences.[1][4] Police reported all of these detention, remand and seizure totals as the results of their own 25-31 October operations.[1]
