On Thursday 17 September 2026 personnel of the Iskandar Muda regional command’s intelligence
detachment (Deninteldam IM) found a cannabis plot of about 1.5 hectares in mountains near
Lambada village, Lamteuba, Seulimuem subdistrict, Aceh Besar regency.[1][2]
The Aceh Post and Analisa Aceh reported that the team counted about 3,500 plants between
roughly 100 and 150 centimetres tall, uprooted them and burned the crop on the spot to keep
it from entering the illicit market.[1][2]
Both outlets said the site lay in steep, densely vegetated terrain about five kilometres on
foot from Lambada, and that soldiers also found a wok and three plastic plates they believed
were used at the plantation.[1][2] No cultivator was named and nobody was arrested.[1][2]
The Aceh Post published a photograph of the on-site destruction credited to the detachment.[1]
