On 20 October 2026 the judicial court in Blois handed down sentences in a Vendôme cannabis case dating to a March 2022 raid.[1]
Axel Segonds, 29, described as the main figure, received three and a half years in prison with a committal warrant, a 5,000 euro fine and a ten-year ban on holding weapons.[1] A 25-year-old co-defendant was sentenced to three years with eighteen months suspended on two years’ probation; La Nouvelle République said the firm portion had already been served.[1] Three other men were given two years with simple suspension and 1,500 euro fines, and a woman convicted only of drug use was fined 350 euros.[1]
When the network was broken up in Vendôme in March 2022, investigators seized three bars of cannabis weighing 300 g in total, a semi-automatic pistol in 7.65 calibre with ammunition, and a machete.[1] Six people had been due to answer before the court on 15 September 2026; the prosecutor had then sought six years against the main suspect before deliberation was set for 20 October.[1][2]
Fréquence 3 reported on 22 September that the prosecutor had asked for six years against the principal suspect in the Vendôme traffic dismantled in 2022 and that a decision was expected on 20 October.[2]
