An 18-year-old man was arrested after police seized more than P4.9 million worth of suspected marijuana, kush and liquid marijuana during a buy-bust operation in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, on 2 October 2026.[1][2] The Urdaneta City Police Station led the operation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 1 and police drug enforcement and intelligence units.[1][2]
The suspect, single and jobless, is a native of Bacnotan, La Union, temporarily living in Urdaneta City.[1][2] Officers recovered 27,730 grams of dried marijuana leaves, 511 grams of kush and 240 millilitres of liquid marijuana worth P4,913,400 in total, packed in vacuum-sealed sachets and compressed bricks, plus vape cartridges with marijuana oil.[1][2] They also found a .22-calibre revolver with no serial number loaded with six rounds, a black iPhone 15, a genuine P500 bill used as buy money and boodle money.[1][2]
