Around 2 AM on Monday, police on the Ranitaar-Beltar inner road at Chargare in Chaudandigadhi Municipality-1 found a Bolero pickup van standing abandoned.[1][2] Inside the vehicle, registration Ba 14 Cha 2255, were 29 plastic sacks packed with 940.44 kg of marijuana.[1][2]

No driver or owner was present at the parked jeep, and police said they are investigating the whereabouts of the driver and others behind the load while working to identify its owner; the vehicle and sacks were transferred to the local police office.[1][2] The Chargare find was one of two Udayapur operations reported together that morning: the same night’s sweep also netted 22-year-old Bishwaraj Rai with 110 kg near Saguri Bridge in Katari, and a 159.4 kg Belaka pickup seizure followed that evening, bringing the district’s three-day tally to 1,209.84 kg.[1][2] Investigations into both cases continue.[1] The district police place the Chargare find within seizures made between 11 and 12 October across the Belaka, Chaudandigadhi and Katari municipalities.[2]
