Three men have been jailed after a cannabis farm worth £1.5 million was discovered in Telford in November 2024.[1][2]
Ramandan Kapaj, 27, Emiljano Xhafa, 30, and Genti Binjaku, 45, were each given a 27-month custodial sentence at Shrewsbury Crown Court on 11 December 2024 after pleading guilty to being concerned in the production of a class B drug.[1][2] All of no fixed abode, they were arrested on 8 November when Telford’s Neighbourhood Crime Fighting Team and Proactive CID raided an abandoned industrial unit in Hortonwood, forcing entry with a ripsaw after the men tried to break down a door to escape.[1] Inside were fourteen rooms of cannabis plants at various stages plus a second floor the men had built for more plants, with tampered electrics.[1]
