On 3 November 2026, officers of the Civil Police’s 3rd Drug-Trafficking Investigation Division, coordinated by delegate Fernando Siqueira, seized 212 kilos of marijuana in the rural area of São Sebastião do Caí.[1] Two individuals were arrested in flagrante for drug trafficking and association for trafficking.[1] The anti-drug action took place within Operation Narke.[1] Officers also seized a scale and a vehicle during the operation.[1]
Police acted after information indicated that a smallholding was being used to store a large quantity of drugs, then monitored the site and saw a vehicle enter the property.[1] Officers approached when the resident and another individual were loading the vehicle with the drugs.[1] Part of the drugs was found inside the vehicle, with the remainder found in the shed and the house, totalling 258 marijuana bricks weighing about 212 kilos.[1]
Delegate Fernando Siqueira said the action forms part of the Civil Police’s standing strategy to intensify action against drug trafficking and criminal organisations in the state through qualified investigations and operations aimed at draining criminal structures.[1]
