The Anti-Narcotics Force foiled a Mastung-to-Quetta drug run in Quetta, Balochistan, intercepting an ambulance near Sona Khan Chowk on intelligence that a large narcotics consignment would move under ambulance cover.[1] Under the floor officers found a secret compartment holding 60 kg of hashish.[1]

A suspected key member of the trafficking network was arrested, and a case was registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, with more arrests expected as the network is mapped.[1] The ANF noted traffickers’ use of emergency-service vehicles to dodge checks, citing a recent similar ambulance seizure in Shikarpur, Sindh.[1]
