Personnel of the Yonif 734/SNS headquarters post together with the Ketapang, Prayudha Mamta, Banmin and Kasuari task forces, military intelligence (Bais TNI) and Air Force base security returned to Kampung Sinimbuk in Serambakon district, Pegunungan Bintang regency, to clear cannabis growing on community plantation land.[1] The sweep, reported on 10 October 2026, was presented as joint security forces’ standing commitment to stop narcotics circulation and abuse, which the command says threatens public health and the community’s future.[1]
Combing the indicated plantation area, the joint personnel found 1,657 harvest-ready cannabis stems secured at the site.[1] Every plant found was pulled up and the ground cleared so the crop could neither be harvested nor misused by irresponsible parties.[1] Task force commander Lt Col Inf Pono Darmadi said cross-unit synergy should keep eradication running continuously so residents can live safe, healthy and free of narcotics in the regency.[1] No arrests were reported in the operation.[1]
