408 kg
Criminal investigators from the Ayacucho police region seized408 kilograms of cannabis from a
minibus abandoned in the village of Pajonal, in the district of Ocros, on the road between
Ayacucho and Andahuaylas.[1]The regional police chief, Arturo Valverde Inga, said the occupants
left the vehicle and fled in the dark when they saw the officers.[1]The work followed
intelligence from the Interior Ministry’s intelligence directorate.[1]
Officers found packages they identified at first as cannabis.[1]No arrest or identification of
the people who ran was reported.[1]Police estimated the load at about 408,000 soles on the
Ayacucho market and as much as 714,000 soles if it had reached Lima, and said those figures could
change.[1]They also said a possible destination was Tacna, and from there Chile, a line of
inquiry still to be checked.[1]
Infobae reported the same 408 kilograms, the abandoned minibus at Pajonal, the dawn flight and the
Divincri operation, spelling the district Oclos, and said a TV Perú report carried the case.[2]It put the Lima estimate above 700,000 soles and the Ayacucho estimate above 400,000 soles.[2]

Neither report gives a calendar date for the stop separate from publication; Infobae's account is dated 17 October and Expresión's 19 October, and both describe a dawn flight.
Infobae spells the district Oclos; Expresión and the regional police chief say Ocros, which this report uses.
Police estimates differ by market: about 408,000 soles in Ayacucho and up to 714,000 soles in Lima. Infobae rounded those to more than 400,000 and more than 700,000 soles.
No one was identified or arrested.
A route onward to Tacna and Chile is a police hypothesis, not a confirmed destination.
