Aldo Gjeta, 27, and Emanuel Bushi, 28, both of no fixed address, appeared at
York Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing and pleaded guilty
through an interpreter to producing cannabis.[1][2] Their cases were adjourned
until 27 November, when they will be sentenced.[1][2]
Both men had been arrested in September, when North Yorkshire Police found a
cannabis growing factory in a disused industrial unit on the Standard Way
industrial estate in Northallerton.[1][2] Officers found so many plants in the
unit that they estimated it could produce enough cannabis to sell for £1 million
in street deals, the force’s valuation.[1][2]
Both men were remanded in custody after their arrest and were further remanded
in custody after entering their guilty pleas.[2]
