A 34-year-old man appeared before the courts in connection with a series of alleged drugs, weapons and criminal property offences.[1] The defendant is Tadas Bijanskas, of Navan Court, Armagh.[1] His case was before Armagh Magistrates’ Court, where the charges were formally put to him.[1]

Bijanskas is accused of possessing cannabis, conspiring to possess cannabis and supplying the drug.[1] He is also charged with possessing a firearm and an incapacitant spray.[1] He further faces allegations of possessing and transferring criminal property, said to represent the proceeds of crime.[1] The offences are alleged to have occurred on various dates between March 1 and September 29, 2025.[1]

A detective constable aware of the facts of the case outlined the allegations and told the court that the charges could be connected.[1] The case remains at an early point in the court process and the allegations have not been tested before a court.[1] No evidence was heard in relation to the charges, and no findings have been made regarding the accusations.[1] Deputy District Judge Austin Kennedy remanded Bijanskas on continuing bail.[1] The case was adjourned and is due to return before Armagh Magistrates’ Court on December 1 for further consideration.[1] The charges remain allegations at this stage, and Bijanskas is entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until the offences are proved before the court.[1]
